Resolution and dpi

Resolution is the number of pixels horizontally by vertically. "dpi", which stands for dots per inch, is the measure of printing resolution. When you enlarge the image, higher-dpi image will still look fine but the lower-dpi image will look "dirty". So in order to print large size and get a better printing effect, you are suggested to set your image as above 200 dpi. Do it as follows:

CMYK VS RGB
Most images are in RGB Color Mode. But for printing, we must turn it into CMYK. There might be a little color difference during the conversion and when it is printed, there might lose some more color. See the following comparision:


Creating Images with transparent background for printing
Your images must be with transparent background. Because the background color are totally different from colors of real shirts. So if you do not cut the background color, it will be printed on the shirt like the first one. To achieve the second one, please do a PNG file with transparent background.

  • Step 1:Create a new file by clicking ‘New’ under ‘File'.


  • Step 2: Select a transparent background by selecting ‘Transparent’ under “Background content” found in the “New” dialogue box
